ActiveWest Builders was founded in 2007 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Dennis Cunningham, founding member, saw an opportunity to develop urban core neighborhoods and design healthy, green homes for active seniors.
At the time, no other contractor in the area was providing production-build LEED and Energy Star certified homes, and 55+ communities for active adults were in great demand. Dennis believed that the growing number of retiring baby boomers would seek this type of housing, and the market bore out his prediction. When he started to develop the Meadow Ranch community, he couldn’t build homes fast enough, even during a period when home sales in general were very low.
The Meadow Ranch development garnered 15 national awards for ActiveWest Builders. Dennis has continued applying his innovative designs to additional developments: The Circuit @ Seltice, Riviera Walk, Riviera Court, and Riviera Place. It’s all about Lifestyle, Location, and Livability.
